Here is a selection of frescos created by 2c Media Veicolare class, taught by Prof. Silva and Prof. Doherty. The project began in December and was completed in January. First of all, the students transferred the images (Giotto's 'Madonna & Child 'and Fra Angelico's 'The Annunciation') onto a wooden board, which they had covered in plaster, using tracing paper. They etched the image into the plaster with a nail, then applied the paint, using gold for the background. Once dry, they applied some decoration on the figures clothes using a gold marker. Finally, the students applied varnish over the paint, which illuminates the colour and gives the work a glossy finish.
