Veicolare

To all my peeps (students) I am happy for this moment of expressing my very, very conditional love for all of you . The wonderful Veicolare program can be difficult sometimes. More homework (I doubt this), more studying and even less of a social life. "mom why can't I chat for four hours like tommy?". 

Your other friends probably make fun of you and your bigger brother still punches in your face. Your mom wants you to translate a 50 page legal Italian document into English and your cousin in America still is incomprehensible. Does life still suck?,  yeah it still does. 

As you start and finish this strange adventure of Veicolare

you go through three phases. Let me explain them accordingly:

1^ media you have no idea where you are. Lost, confused and let's admit it you haven't even realised that you bring paper to school. "Yeah we get to colour again and have 4 hour recesses (intervallo)" sorry you are not in 6^ elementare. It's called Media. You think that all of your Veicolare teachers are crazy and too demanding. (like writing your name on homework). For the first three days of school you are angels the rest of the next three years;  monsters!

In 2^ you realize God gave you a brain and sometimes you even dare to use it. You realise you are no longer the small fish and you begin to be confident. Once in awhile you realise that school means to study and when this strange act happens you become uncontrollable. You want the world to know of such divine acts, you even tell me strange things like "Prof I studied"  WOW, YOU DID? CALL BERLUSCONI, CALL THE POPE!!!!!!!!     let's calm down a little bit. I hate to tell you this but you are a student and someone call me crazy but students Study.

In 3^ you realize you know everything there is to know about english (even more than me, and quite frankly thats impossible. Only Chuck Norris knows more than me! (If you don't believe me ask chuck norris) You no longer study and your over-confidence destroys all hope of progression. You think you are the coolest people in the whole world. "I'm veicolare I know everything ahahahah you guys are losers"     Unfortunately you are wrong but we've been telling that to you since 1^ media. Yes, you might know how to say your name and what colour your dog is. Maybe you think you deserve a cookie! I don't think so. You are expected to know more and YOU know it. Never settle for less!

You might ask yourself why Superman. (Well he used to be a student of mine.) Veicolare is like being Superman. On the outside your portray an average person. Maybe even looking like a nerd or even sfigato.(bad Italian) but underneath you have a deadly weapon. Your secret costume. Your greatest enemy is kryptonite. Your secret costume is your ability to communicate in a foreign language that must shine. This is no easy achievement; don't get too excited yet. No one knows your secret strengths except you. It could be your passion to learn or your motivation to always improve. The ability to learn grammar and apply them. To listen and respond with great ease.

If I good give you some advice it would be to practice your language as much as possible, study it, live it even dream it! Push yourself to the limit where you will see the fruits of your labor. Your kryptonite is your laziness and over confidence. Like all of us the key to learning a language is to overcome pride and welcome humility. Knowing you WILL make mistakes regardless what your classmates say or think. You all have the ability to do great things with your language capabilities. Communication is one of the greatest tools in human life. Wars and divorces to treaties and friendships, all these are formed around communication. Let this short experience of learning a new language increase your character to new limits. Encourage patience, tollerance and self-gratification.

A special note to 3^ this will be the last year that you are all together. Whether you like it or not enjoy this experience to the maximum. English is Easy...Easy peasy
